The Brief

Romania’s most ambitious action film to date, set in the underground world of illegal street racing. Ten of Europe’s best drivers competing for everything, against a backdrop of friendship, betrayal and high-stakes rivalry. The costumes needed to serve a fast-moving, visually driven world where identity and status are written in what you wear, and where the line between style and function is constantly blurred.

The Approach

The racing world has its own visual language, and the wardrobe was built to speak it fluently: technical fabrics, sharp fits, and a palette that could hold up against the spectacle of the cars and the landscapes without being swallowed by them. Characters from different corners of this world were given distinct looks to signal where they come from and what they’re after, while keeping everything grounded in a contemporary, authentically European aesthetic. Filmed across Bucharest and the Transfăgărășan, one of the most visually striking roads in the world, the costumes had to work just as hard on location as they did on set.
